If you look up the term dairy, you will find several definitions. One in the famous Cambridge dictionairy:

“used to refer to cows that are used for producing milk, rather than meat, or to foods that are made from milk, such as cream, butter, and cheese:dairy cattle, dairy farmers, dairy products

I´m sure you knew that before. But there is so much more to the term than how it is defined. We use dairy products on a daily basis, have been told that milk is good for your bones while growing up. A family member of mine is pregnant and keeps drinking a glass of milk every evening to ensure that the baby gets enough calcium.

I am not a dietician or nutrician but there are hundreds of sources (based on scientific articles) that we have been told wrong all our lives and dairy can lead to severe diseases. There are many sources that have investigated that the dairy industry has been sponsoring goverments and lobbying heavily in order to avoid a decrease in demand.

Yes, we all love cheese. That´s why there is growing supply of vegan cheese. My friends and I are currently trying them all and you will be able to find reviews of the common vegan cheese brands on this blog to make up your mind.
